Funding Solutions

Which funding option fits your business, wherever you operate?

Most businesses choose among six options: working capital for short-term needs, equipment financing for machines and vehicles, a line of credit for uneven cash flow, term loans for planned growth, revenue-based financing tied to sales, and SBA loans for owners who can wait longer. The right fit depends on the job the money has to do.

How do these products differ from state to state?

The products themselves work much the same in every state. What changes at the state line is the paperwork around them: some states require written cost disclosures for commercial financing before you sign, and lien filings go to each state's own filing office. Your offer should reflect the rules where your business is located.

If you run locations in more than one state, tell us where each one operates. Our state guides explain what owners in each state typically fund, and our article on commercial financing disclosure rules covers what a cost disclosure usually shows.

How do you choose between them?

Start with the purpose, then match the repayment to how long the money will earn. Short needs like payroll gaps or inventory suit shorter products. Long-lived assets like equipment or a build-out suit longer terms. Paying for a five-year asset with a six-month product is one of the most common and costly mismatches.

  • Need it soon, for a short gap: working capital or revenue-based financing.
  • Buying a machine, truck or tool: equipment financing.
  • Costs come and go all year: a business line of credit.
  • A planned project with a clear payback: a term loan, or an SBA loan if timing allows.

Not sure? Our How It Works page walks through the process, and one application lets funders show what fits.

Frequently asked questions

Are the same products available in every state?

Most of these products are offered nationwide, but availability varies by product and funder, and a few funders do not work in every state. When you apply, we match your request with funders that work where your business operates, and you see the terms before you decide.

Can I apply for more than one product at once?

Yes. One application gives funders what they need to consider several options, such as a line of credit and an equipment loan. You can compare the offers side by side and choose one, several or none. Applying does not obligate you to accept anything.

What do funders usually look at?

Requirements vary by product and funder; many look at time in business, monthly revenue and credit. Most also review recent business bank statements to see deposits, balances and existing payments, because that shows what repayment the business can handle comfortably.
